2015 Teen Conference

Thank you to all who joined us on June 25th, to Celebrate & have Fun at Kennebec Valley Community College in Hinckley, Maine!

Over 100 youth and Alumni of foster care attended the 25th Annual Teen Conference! This year’s theme: “Something to Stand For: 25 Years of Change” was highlighted throughout the day in our group activities and leader talks. With a record number of attendees (154), we definitely celebrated the 25th year milestone with a bang! Our speakers were inspirational; their energy, passion, connection, and commitment to youth/adult relationships was felt by all.
The morning team building, location, food, carnival, and workshops were truly awesome and INSPIRING! Workshops topics included: budgeting, experiential leadership, college resources, communication strategies, vision boards, dance, and building networks of support. Lunch was followed by annual awards and then a carnival and resource fair that included information on housing, education, health, and banking.
